As the main entrance and exit of the hotel space, the reception hall mainly uses basic lighting. The following points should be noted:
(1) According to the decoration requirements, personalized lamps such as large chandeliers and lanterns are generally provided to show the style of the hotel;
(2) The reception hall has high illuminance requirements to show the nobility of the guests. At the same time, registration and other reading and writing activities are also carried out in the hall, and the illuminance value is not less than 300Lx. For hotels above four stars, it is recommended to add dimming equipment;
(3) For general lighting, embedded downlights are used for gypsophila arrangement;
(4) Dark trough lights are often arranged around the pillars and walls to form the effect of hollowing the ceiling;

Service desk
As a window for service exchange, it occupies the most important position in the lobby. In terms of regional functions, in order to meet the needs of writing and communication, its illumination requirements are often higher than other areas in the lobby.
The general service desk can choose the following lighting methods:
(1) Downlights can be arranged in rows on the ceiling;
(2) Boom-type downlights are installed above the counter;
(3) There are light signs above the counter of each service item, such as registration desk, inquiry desk, currency exchange desk, etc.;
(4) There are desk lamps or light strips installed on the counter in the service desk;
(5) Small dark slot lights are often installed at the bottom of the outside of the service counter;
(6) Adopt district lighting to visually separate the general service desk area from the lobby.
